Erica Williams initially founded The Builder's Block, to connect young designers globally and to foster a more symbiotic relationship between creative and corporate communities. Builder's Block started as an idea after Erica took a medical leave of absence from working as a Practice Area Leader and Architectural Designer at Gensler [Washington D.C] shortly following a debilitating immune system diagnosis. After about a month of rest, and two weeks of getting her creative energy flowing, the idea for Builder's Block was born. Erica guides the overall growth and strategic direction of BBlock, maximizing its impact on the architectural and design culture.
